Delete Account and Data
Users can request deletion of their FinVault cloud account data and associated app records.
How to Request Deletion
- Open FinVault and sign in to the account you want deleted.
- Go to the Profile/Settings menu and check the email address shown.
- Send an email request to finvault.help@gmail.com from the same email address used in FinVault.
- Use the subject: FinVault Account Deletion Request.
What Data Is Deleted
- Cloud profiles associated with your account
- Cloud transaction records
- Cloud lending/trading records where stored
- App-related cloud metadata associated with your account
What May Not Be Deleted Automatically
- Local Mode data stored only on your own device
- JSON/PDF/Excel backup files already exported by you
- Data required to comply with legal, security, or abuse-prevention obligations
Retention Period
After a verified deletion request is received, cloud account data will normally be deleted within 30 days, unless a longer period is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute handling.
Local Mode Warning
Local Mode records are stored on your device. To remove Local Mode data, delete profiles inside the app, clear app/browser storage, or uninstall the app. If your local vault is encrypted and you forgot the PIN, FinVault cannot recover the data.
