Security & Scam Safety
FinVault is a personal finance tracker. It cannot directly debit money from your bank account because it does not include UPI collect, card charging, wallet, SMS OTP reading, or bank debit features.
FinVault NEVER asks for
- OTP or verification code
- UPI PIN
- ATM PIN
- Debit/Credit card PIN
- CVV
- Internet banking password
- Remote access or screen sharing
- Payment approval to unlock the app
Safe Usage Rules
- Install FinVault only from the official Play Store listing or official web app URL.
- Do not share backup files with unknown people.
- Do not enter banking secrets in transaction notes.
- Keep your device lock, email account, and Google account secure.
- Report suspicious messages claiming to be FinVault support.
Current App Safety Status
- No Play Billing enabled
- No geolocation permission required
- No phone/SMS OTP reading feature
- Uploads restricted to safe image types where applicable
- Security headers and anti-scam reminders included
If You Suspect Fraud
Immediately contact your bank, block affected cards/accounts, change passwords, and report to local cybercrime/police channels. FinVault cannot reverse bank transactions because it does not process bank payments.
